So Gillian Chung finally emerged to face the media and the public. She had to come out sooner or later because she does not want to give up her artist career and her company does not want to abandon a goose that lays golden eggs. She said that she was very naïve and very silly, but now she has grown up. In those few short sentences, she did not admit to any mistakes but she has practically admitted that the photographs were not the product of computer modification.

In truth, Gillian Chung had not been very naïve and she was not silly. Her image of an innocent little angel was posed. Two years ago, she cried publicly after the EasyFinder photos and said that she could not face up to young people who idolize her. Another time, she saw Cecilia Cheung and Nicholas Tse kissing and she said that she was disgusted and that she would never do that. She attended the organized by the City of David Cultural Centre and stated clearly that she opposed pre-marital sex. While she was saying those words in 2006, she was also posing for those obscene photographs. In a comment left at Apple Daily, someone wrote: "We despise you not for your licentiousness, but for your hypocrisy."

This gets right to the point. In truth, Gillian Chung is not the only hypocrite. Her company Emperor Entertainment Group was also hypocritical. On the first obscene photographs appeared, EEG announced that these photographs were manufactured by "criminal elements" using "computer modification" and they filed a police report immediately. The Performance Artists Association was also hypocritical. During the EasyFinder episode, the Association was up at arms. In the face of these obscene photographs, the Association only said that "this was not just sad for the entertainment industry, but for all of the people of Hong Kong as well." The performance artists may be sad because they are afraid their own private affairs will also be revealed, but what has the majority of the people of Hong Kong got to be sad about? Why is there any need for the people of Hong Kong to be sad over the sorrows of a few individual entertainers?

The police were also hypocritical. Before the Obscene Articles Tribunal even made any classifications, the police arrested netizen Chung Yik-tin for posting one obscene photograph and remanded him without bail for eight weeks. This was clearly a case that the police was using to intimidate netizens from circulating the obscene photographs, but they claimed that Chung was involved in another fraud case. It is unprecedented for someone to be held without bail on two unrelated cases. This is the hypocrisy of law enforcement. Commissioner of Police Tang King-shing rendered an "interpretation of the law" when he claimed that possession of obscene photographs "with intent to distribute" is against the law. It was clear that the police wanted to intimidate people.

The hypocrisy of the police also showed up in that they knew that the obscene photographs originated from the computer of Edison Chen, but they still kept looking for the 'source' everywhere. Why not summon Edison Chen directly for interrogation and ask for an accounting to see if the photographs were taken secretly or with consent? To whom were the obscene photographs given to? How did it circulate to the outside? They knew where the source was but they didn't bother. Instead they went around arresting people all over the street. This showed that the police was unfair and hypocritical in enforcing the law.

Some of the media were also hypocritical. They raised the banner of morality. They condemned those who possess and view the obscene photographs. They even condemned the other media which reported on these obscene photographs for publishing edited versions. The exposure of the truth should be the duty of the media. It is especially important to expose the true faces of performance artists who pretend that they are morally upright or innocent little angles, so that the fans won't be fooled.

The storm over these obscene photographs revealed all sorts of hypocrisies. This may be the reason why "Kira" released more photographs each time that another hypocrisy was committed, including escalating the degree of obscenity. The storm over these obscene photographs tell us that some people think that they can do anything or tell any lies as long as they close the door and leave no material evidence (such as photographs).

What is hypocrisy? In law, this refers to acts or speeches that present a narrative that is inconsistent with the facts. Simply put, this refers to certain misleading or deceptive narratives. The series of hypocritical acts and speeches brought up by the obscene photographs lets people feel that Hong Kong has become a city of hypocrisy.

Fortunately, there are still some media that are awake and insistent on uncovering the truth. Fortunately, there are still the netizens, especially those who protested against the hypocritical police on the day before yesterday.

Been quite a while since i last blogged. Wasn't really busy, just don't have much to blog about.

A quick recap.

The past 1 mth just about IHG training and playing a 10 year old computer game with sean,yongkai and weimin.

I did manage to finish watching heroes season during the 1st week of dec. Wasn't as good as season 1 if you ask me. Kind of too many no link people but well i like to watch this kind of show so still ok la.. Like X-Men got alot of powers haha i like..

IHG is coming and well i hope Eusoff will do well with all the sports and bring back the champ.. =)

Let's recap what i have been doing beside training and playing game. Xmas, went to andrew's house for the usual Xmas Feast. Haha. The usual suspect all went down.. People like meng, weiwen, roylan, mister lim, teng, weijie, terence, zhiliang, peixu and the unusual one like SIYI.. haha.. Went there BBQ and MJ, sounds like fun right.. not bad i won quite alot. So it's quite fun haha..

The next event after xmas will be.. back in hall training hahaha. what a life. i'm not complaining, i guess when i finish my studies and start working i wun have time for sports anymore so well it's good to "enjoy" now.

And now time to HAO LIAN i got VIP seats for Fish Leong concert on the following sat. 5th Row from the stage.. haha nv sit so near before sia.. the TIX is freeeeeeee and guess what i went with SHUN HE.. haha A GUY. OMG..

but well he asked bout the ticket like 2 mths ago. so he is kind of the 1st person that come to my mind when i got the free ticket. of course i asked a few others before him all rejected me.. hahaha
Sad that there is no photos course, the cam work for like ermm 10min and low batt so ya...

Last nite the last day of 2007. Went for 4H class gathering, alot of people didn't turn up thou. A bit disappointed but still happy to see those whom i have not met for a long time, people like bangzong, zhongrui, yvonne, shian pin and etc. They just simply reminds me of the good old sec sch days. Some came and left after like erm 2min. But well effort shown so i think it's not too bad la hor.. better then not coming at all.

Well i was hoping that yongfa and kelvin would turn up but i guess the timing of the gathering also abit bad la.. count down people sure want to accompany gf one la..So i can conclude those who went all single haha..

Of ya i forgot to mention my exam results..Cap from 3.78 drop to 3.5 so i guess that speaks a lot bout my result la hor.. I wouldn't say i'm disappointed or what. it's just a case of you reap what you sow.

Ok let's see i have only done like 5 things after the exam. Watch heroes, Xmas gathering, Fish leong concert, 4H gathering and trainings. quite sian hor whole mth only like do 5 things.

Now let's take a look at 2007 on a whole. I guess many things had happened, i wouldn't say they have a very big impact on me and i think i haven't changed much. But there are things that i think i should look into and change for the better and i guess 2008 could be a good start to that haha..

I think people really don't understand me sometimes but i guess it's my fault coz i myself also always hee hee haa haa nobody knows when i am serious or wat.. AND i think i have a big mouth which i think i should SHUT it. Sometimes hor i also feel i too sensitive to some things and it affects my choices. How i wish i can just say FUCK IT dun care bout other people i just do what i want.. Well some would say that is being thoughtful coz u think about others. But really i prefer to be a selfish bastard

Some mega churches affect students adversely I READ with deep interest the article, 'Drawing the line between Caesar and God' (ST, Aug 2).

The objection of one of the large independent churches in Singapore to complying with provisions in the draft code of governance for charities would logically provoke concern about its financial transparency. This is especially so as these are 'rich' churches, judging by their well-equipped premises and set-up. These circumstances bring to light another concern. Some of these 'mega churches' have relentless recruitment activities in many schools and junior colleges.

My friends and I have loved ones whose lives and attitude have changed after they joined these churches. They lose interest in schoolwork to the point of academic failure. Family time is curtailed drastically, and they stop attending family functions. Parental objections are ignored, family squabbles ensue and family harmony is disrupted. It's heartbreaking. It is like we have lost our children.

I write this not to impugn any religion, but to warn against the abuse of religion. Having had such traumatic experiences, I cannot remain silent. I hope this letter will serve as a warning to parents regarding such youth activities that may destroy their personal lives and family harmony.

lol all these like very no link to me right.. it's true.. kind of no link.. can't really tell if the dance is good or bad.. according to ellen it's ermm modern dance.. i dun noe the difference between all those different dance anyway..

What i can say is that i can tell that the dancers are really enjoying the performance.. it looks real fun to me too.. sliding around a wet stage and dancing at the same time.. there are some funny moments too.. 2 male dancers playing a oversize tennis ball etc..

i wouldn't say i understand the dance but well it seems not bad.. at least to me.. haha

been bz since last Thursday.. took leave on thursday and friday to work in some ermm exhibition at expo i think it's call motherhood 2007..

Saw lots of kids there.. got to do a free nano facial mask on the 1st day.. my auntie ask me to do and walk round the hall.. look like batman they all say..

Well.. exams are over..having been of mixed feeling..happy coz everything is over.. sian coz of some other things..heehee.. been studying "hard" over this 3 weeks.. the last paper on wed is like the easiest paper i have taken in NUS... and ya it's so easy that it make me scare.. i think everyone will score well.. and i will end up at the bottom yet again.. oh well.. it's always like that.. so nvm la.. haha =D

nv really have the time to rest.. moved everything back from hall the very next day.. which is erm yesterday coz it's past 12midnight now.. fo quan is very nice... he went down to hall and help me drive everything back home.. sounds gay.. but well since young i have always felt he is a nice guy ahaha.. came back unpack most of the things..went out to eat dinner ALONE(something i hate to do) while waiting for yongkai and weimin to watch spiderman 3

Well alone in hall on good friday.. due to some stupid test tml morning.. it's really sad.. if not i could have gone home yesterday... hai.. fna project not done.. no mood to do now also.. hai..

hmm.. i feel i am going thru what i have went thru during poly yr 3.. the feeling is back again.. it's really not a good feeling.. kind of down.. although knowing myself it will just take maybe 2-3 hrs to pick myself up and be my old cheerful self again.. but then that's avoiding the problem..

sometimes problem should be faced not avoided.. coz it just wun go away.. it's always there.. the last time i solved this problem.. the ending wasn't too good.. maybe that's why i am avoiding it now that it comes up again.. the situation is really SOoOOSOSOooOSOSOSOSOSOS similar... maybe the difference is i am older now.. got more to think about.. and can't just do watever i like and dun care about people around me.. it's nt going to work that way now.. it's the feeling of helplessness and in no postion to say anything that's erm making me pek ceng of myself i guess...

Hmm.. today is my birthday.. nothing much to look forward to just another day.. joe's birthday was a day before mine... and well he bought lots of beer to celebrate i just wasn't too keen.. haha

ok let me recall who wishes had wishes me happy birthday.

1st we have sean who made a mistake by wishing me happy birthday at the MAB dinner.. that's ermm like 4 hrs early.. followed by patsy which is ermm 3 min early according to my clock but she claims mine is ermm slow.. so ya.. maybe it's true.. then ermm followed by joofee, yongkai, jialin all around 12am++ .. oh ya my mum called at 1240 and well she said she wanted to call at 12 but forgot hahaha...

then saw bernard, joe, bingjie and terence that's ermm around 2+ i think.. then during lesson today peixu's sms came at around 10am. after a while got another msg from minghong then came wanfen's mms.. till now i am still unable to view it dun noe why.. i assume it's some birthday msg....

Saw xiao yan on my way back from lesson and she just suddenly yell out happy birthday liao ke wen.. hahaha i wonder how come she knows

then at around 12 noon siying(erm she changed her name but i still prefer this) msg came =D every year she would send me christmas card, new yr card without fail.. dun noe about this year birthday card coz haven been home for a while...

yanwei's msg came around 1pm, been a while since i last heard from him.. well hope to catch up with him during the holiday.. his birthday is coming soon too =D

Something really interesting happened today.... I was doing my usual stuff.. going for basketball then lunch with the guys.. after which i went home...

I was quite tired.. and as i reach the lift the door just open.. and i went in.. then i started pressing the level i wanted to go to.. but the thing just lights up and goes off.. as if i can't press that level..

after that the door closed on me.. and the next thing i heard is "going down" OMG.. i'm at the 1st Floor of my blk and there is NO BASEMENT.. then i just look up and the arrow beside the number 1 is pointing downwards..

then i just keep pressing the level i wanna go to... finally after a while it light up.. actually at that point of time i just tot aiya.. lift spoil liao la... then i told weihao wat happened and he said.. it's a SIGN..

1st day of new year.. nothing much happened.. woke up at 11.. catch up on Heroes and Prison Break to the latest ep till around 2pm..

off to hougang.. ah ma's house.. went alone coz mummy simply wasn't interested to go and give ang pao.. only 1 son take ang pao.. need to give other ppl 3 children at least..

Stayed there for like 2 hrs before following my cousin shufen(selina) to his bf house.. weird hor.. anyway stayed there for like 15min before moving on to simei.. my another auntie's home.. played a bit of blackjack.. was losing $20 + but at the end of the day become win $20.. so it's not too bad..

Went KTV with my cousins, Shufen(selina), Ah boy(craig), Gary, Shuping(eileen) and shufen's bf Allen. KTV seems like a yearly affair now.. anyway name is brackets are name that i just know of recently.. haha

Against TH today finals.. We lost.. I had a few crucial miss and i refuse to blame myself for the lost. coz i am not that good a player that a game is won or lost just by me missing.. it's a team effort so we win together we lose together hahaha..

Well after our last game with TH that's like 2 weeks already.. today was our long overdue semifinal against Kent Ridge, i feel that i wasn't ready for the game.. i really dun like going to a match early and watch a team play for like 1hr+ then we go in for the match... i cannot get into the game this way.. i think i let the earlier game affect me i dun noe why.. so well i ended up playing like how i play every sunday... relac.. dun chase for balls and got damn tired early into the game... at some point of the time i really hope they just sub me out.. i'm really letting the team down.. that's what i feel at that moment..

Guess i din warm up well enough.. this kind of sux... it's down to me again.. bad attitude... i'm really glad wilson, weihan, tony, naveen and junhan played well to cover up for all my fucking mistakes(throwing passes out of bound.. taking wild shots) once again i am very sorry for my sloppy plays.. i will play better against TH in the finals.. now that terence is injured.. i sure hope he make it back for the finals.. if not we will have to play with naveen, a inconsistent jason and a half fit yongkai.. hope you will be back terence..

That's the theme for our Inter Hall Games this year. To retain our IHG overall Champion title could be a bit hard this year as lots of pro players from last yr left already..

Nonetheless we started this IHG with Male hockey team getting 1st and Female hockey team getting 2nd. Went down for both event as member of the SP team. The crowd was good, with all the cheering and stuffs. It's just now back to the sec sch days when i play competition. It's really fun.

MY PRO CENTER AKA YOGI BEAR AKA YONGKAI AKA MY ROOMMATE FRACTURED HIS NOSE DURING TRAINING WE ARE NOW DOWN TO 3 CENTERS.

1st IHG bball match against King Edward 7. Heard that they are without a few of their key players.. won them like 67-32 something like that.. The same goes for the girls team. beating KE7 by quite alot of points..

Today the big game against Temasek Hall. You can say it's a local derby, we having won the 1st game against KE7 are into the semi finals. But losing to TH wasn't an option, everyone were all hype up for this match.

WE WON!!!!! with lots of good shots and contribution from tony, kenneth, junhan, naveen, wilson and OF COZ THE SUPPORTERS

Now with the victory behind us we must look forward to the semi which should be against Kent Ridge. Shall now concentrate on cheering other sports like touch rubgy tml(sat) and sepak tekraw on sunday..

went for a IVP against huai nan this afternoon, not bad i got to play 1min in the last quater lol.. doesn't really matter liao la.. suan le.. i'm not a bad player, just that i am not pia enuff and too lazy..(am i just trying to make myself feel better?)

after that went to TM to watch Death Note: the last name. with james, yongkai and weimin.
not bad it's similar and yet different from the manga not too bad.. But i still think the manga is the best with all the sub plots and etc.. hope the anime follows the manga so those who dun like to read can know the whole story as well...

saw something really interesting on my way back home.. there is this big pasar malam in tampines.. guess wat are pasar malam selling nowadays.. Gone are the days of pirate VCD/DVD and games... they are now selling CARS... i wonder who will really go to a pasar malam looking for cars.. does that mean cars are now CHEAP as we always relate to things from pasar malam.

After reaching home been chatting with jialin for abit.. been a while since i really chat with ppl on MSN liao.. nothing to talk about liao.. i ran out of topics to chat with ppl online.. think maybe i got not much life this holiday that's why.. It's New Year Eve's tomorrow and i dun really have any plans same as every year thou.

Been a while since i last updated the world about what is happening to my life.. This holiday doesn't really feel like a holiday. My room at home is invaded by my cousins, being a young adult i really shouldn't be whining bout this. But sometime the biasness really pissed me off...

My cousins are also doing a good job to make me feel CAMPED. lol. every morning they will just open the door to see if i woke up already so they can come in and play game.. I even make the effort to put the XBOX in the living room for them but they still prefer to camp my PS2 and PC.
I can just go downstair for 10mins and come back finding them on my PC and PS2.. Really nice camping.

Ok back to halls since being at home starts to get boring with all these camping....

Been having some hall trainings, ivp trainings. And the competition is erm next week for IHG, 2 more weeks for IVP. As the date draw closer, i have this strong feeling that i am not going to make it into the IVP team. Kind of a big blow to my ego, but i think i only have myself to blame.

I am just too lazy to play like how i used to play. With all the aggression, never say die spirit. I am even guilty of that for hall games/trainings. Before the training, before the game i will tell myself i must be aggressive strong blah blah blah. but i always end up falling short of the target and eventually suffer a lapse of concentration..

Becoming a fringe player now in training doesn't help either... just make me feel that i might as well don't go training. but well since i have chose to take this path so i must finish it.. Who knows maybe i will become the player i used to be. Time is running short hope it happen sooner rather later..

Oh ya before i forget.. Happy new yr to everyone.

My weekends were rather sporty.. Played soccer on friday night at YISHUN(damn far), then sat morning play at the basketball court behind my blk.. Wanted to go back AHS for basketball on sunday but well i ended up injuring myself again.. Ya again. The same ankle..

I'm going to buy those damn zai ankle guard liao. Now i finally know what poh ken meant by loose ankle when he was genging for a downgrade in NS.

My ankle really damn loose now.. seems to me it's going to sprain anytime, anywhere, anyhow.. it's bad.. I have trainings everyday of the week till Jan and IHG and IVP is just next mth.. I really don't wanna miss any trainings liao..

Maybe i just ENDURE and pia finish all these then rest my ankle for the few mths..

Went mambo last night with eusoff people.. It was damn crowded... I think the whole world was there.. saw alot of familar faces..

There are people from eusoff hall(duh!), from IVP basketball team, weili from sunday basketball, zhihao,kenny,jenna,jessica from union camp, my daughter charlotte, shawn(mr chiongster) from poly and long lost friend CINDY from the coca days..

not bad considering i got to meet with so many people.. and in the process saw 2 fights outside zouk.. although din really dance and drink much but the fight was rather entertaining..

they think they still in the 古惑仔 era.. too bad nv record down lol..

Actually feel quite bad coz din buy gaston and ez they all drinks.. think they spend alot last nite..

Been busy the last few days.. After CS1104 exam.. i went st8 for Fish Leong's "mini" concert. She sang quite a few songs.. mostly from her new album.. i got to sit at the VIP seats due to some "connections" but a pity i dun have a cam. if not can take some photos..

after that on sunday.. i went to work as.... A MASCOT.. and i'm ELMO... it's for some cenosis event at orchard hotel... yet again saw fish leong and huang bi ren.. yet again no cam to take pictures to show off.. not that i am a big fan thou..

back to sch.. monday... tried to study... but din really do much.. went for CS1102 on tuesday feeling somehow unprepared but doesn't really care.... came back.. wanted to study and a cockroach flew in.. DAMN BIG can FLY somemore.. OMG.. distracted..

not that me and yongkai were scare or anything it's just that we dun wan to ermm bother it.. roped in junjie, weimin and joofee for help.. nobody did anything helpful so it stay on the cupboard for a while before flying into the fan and LANDED BESIDE MY FEET swept it out after some struggle..

grace gave me her ben and jerry's ice cream coz she say she is on a diet? which is really a strange reason.. why the hell she need a diet? well i got weimin and yongkai to eat with me.. and had a long chat with yvonne after that before going to sleep..yvonne is ermm such a silly girl..

Just hours before their highly-anticipated release, Elk Grove Police investigators are searching for two armed men who robbed a video game store Thursday, making off with four PlayStation 3 game consoles.

The two armed hooded gunmen walked into the GameStop store at 7717 Laguna Blvd. around 10:20 a.m. Thursday and demanded employees turn over the gaming systems, according to Elk Grove Police spokesman Chris Trim. Trim said the robbers took four of the consoles and four XBox 360 systems before making their escape.

Trim said one suspect is described as an Hispanic male, 6'3" tall, wearing black clothing, while the other is a dark-skinned man, six feet tall also wearing black clothing with a hood. Other surrounding stores selling the popular console were contacted about Thursday's robbery and warned to keep an eye out for anything suspicious, Trim said.

The PlayStation 3 consoles, which retail for over $500 each, are already among of the most sought-after items this holiday season. Plagued with production problems, worldwide supplies of the system are short, with only 400,000 PS3 machines available for U.S. buyers this week and only 1 million expected by year's end.

Thugs rob people in Playstation 3 waiting line, shoot 1

Two armed thugs tried to rob a line of people waiting to buy the new Playstation 3 gaming console early Friday and shot one who refused to give up the money, authorities said.

The two confronted 15 to 20 people who were in line outside a Wal-Mart store shortly after 3 a.m. and demanded money, said Lt. J. Paul Vance, a spokesman for the state police. The new Sony consoles are selling for around $500 to $600.

''One of the patrons resisted. That patron was shot,'' Vance said.

He said the two gunmen fled and the victim was taken to University of Massachusetts Medical Center in Worcester. There was no immediate word on the victim's condition.

Vance said police were searching for the suspects, both believed to be in their teens. He said one was wearing a ski mask and brandishing a handgun, and the other had what appeared to be a shotgun.

Short supplies of the PS3 and strong demand led to lines of buyers, some waiting for days, outside stores across the country.

In Palmdale, Calif., authorities shut down a Super Wal-Mart after some shoppers got rowdy late Wednesday. In West Bend, Wis., a 19-year-old man was injured when he ran into a pole racing with 50 others for one of 10 spots outside a Wal-Mart.

In Lexington, Ky., police were investigating a drive-by shooting that hit four people with BB pellets outside a Best Buy store, causing minor injuries, according to WKYT, whose own reporter was hit as she interviewed buyers in line.

A Best Buy in Boston, aware it had only 140 of the consoles, got smart — its employees gave out tickets to the first 140 people in line so everyone could go home.

I feel that i din do well.. or rather i am someone who always feel that way after a test.. and when i go around telling people i dun noe how to do blah blah blah.. nobody believe me.. coz the result always turn out otherwise. i always get higher then expected..i know this is a good thing i'm not complaining bout it thou.

people start telling me.. aiya you always say you dun noe talk cock one la blah blah blah.. in actual fact i really dun noe leh. and when i get good result i want to feel happy but then again i will have to face people whom i told them i might fail..

i now know how those people in sec sch who keep saying "die liao la this time fail liao la" and they end up getting better then expected results.. sometime i just feel that i should really get a bad result to show that i am not lying... silly i know..

oh well.. this time i really feel i flunk the pratical exam last sat.

An update of what have been happening recently. First i had two mid term last week, marketing grp presentation last week. Graded Java Lab this week and maths quiz.

But i hand up my java lab(do till 4am) yesterday i have this weekend mood. After lesson i sleeeeeep from 5pm to 9pm skipping dinner and everything else..

After which i wake up.. Not knowing what to do and dun wanna sleep early so i watch school rumble season 1(anime). Quite an old anime.

From the 1st look i tot it's just same hentai like anime with sch girls behaving bimbotic. It turns out to be a light hearted and rather funny anime with a few spoofs from other anime. Really recommand it anyone who wants a good laugh.

Just downloaded Death Note 1st ep. Really looking forward to the movie launching next week. The battle of wits between L and Kira =D
